About Me

I am a 50-something, very blessed work from home mom.

{26+} years ago I married my high school sweetheart, a year later we bought our first home where we still live today on a few acres, with our 14-year-old daughter, three horses, a couple of very spoiled dogs, and one very demanding cat.

I've always been artistic and I spent 15+ years working as a graphic designer, studied interior design briefly, before buying a coffee shop that I co-owned and operated with my mom for 7 years. We sold that business 6+ years ago, so today here I am hanging out in the world of blogging, and at my hobby/business on Etsy, Coonie And Bees Restyled & Rusty.

You will find me trekking around flea markets, yard sales, thrift stores and auctions. I won't hesitate to bring home a piece that someone else has kicked to the curb, much to my husband's dismay, and there are times when the rustier the better.

I will share my sometimes crazy adventures about our ever changing home, projects that I do out of the junky goodies I find, and when I come across hints and tips on living a simpler, faithful, but still connected lifestyle, I will share those too.
